Your career, our vision

The days of relying on the employer for professional development is fast disappearing. As Hutches (1998) points out there are new rules for work. We must be able to work independently in non-traditional workplaces and be responsible for our own careers and skill development, and most importantly ourselves.

NZOQ's vision statement reads

NZOQ members from all sectors of business and the community supported to learn, share, and take quality initiatives.

NZOQ can support members through provision of professional development opportunities, including the new Professional Recognition programme, but the ownership of personal and professional development must be with the individual. Opportunities can only become benefits if they are taken.
