NZOQ awarded highest Tertiary rating

NZOQ is pleased to announce that they achieved the highest grading possible (highly competent) during their recent External Evaluation & Review (EER), undertaken by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA), the governments major education assurance body.

NZOQ achieved highly confident in both educational performance and capability in self-assessment. The NZQA evaluation team conducted the EER during a two day visit to NZOQs National Office.

NZOQ is a registered private Training establishment (PTE) with NZQA and first became registered in 1999. In recent times NZOQ has moved from an audit process to EER.

In addition to looking at educational delivery, the scope for the external evaluation and review included the mandatory area of governance, management and strategy.

The purpose of the external evaluation and review is to provide a public statement about the Tertiary Education Organisation’s (TEO) educational performance and capability in self-assessment.

The EER forms part of the accountability process required by Government in inform investors, the public, students, prospective students, communities, employers and other interested parties.

It is also intended to be used by the TEO for quality improvement purposes.
