Ceillhe Sperath

My name is Ceillhe Sperath and for many years I have served at NZOQ Board and Northern branch level.  There are exciting times ahead for NZ and anyone in business. It is particularly an exciting time to be involved in Tourism and more than ever ‘quality in everything we do’ will be the essential ingredient that sets us apart, particularly for the service sector.  I believe organizations like NZOQ will become more relevant for those who are keen to improve, innovate, invest, lead and be sustainable.  I want to continue to be involved at Board level for NZOQ to ensure we are a viable, active and relevant organisation to individuals and the organizations alike that want to make a difference through improving performance, processes and practices through developing its people.

It continues to be a honour and a personal ‘call of duty’ to give my time to be part of NZOQ.  I also believe that being in my own SME business you gain a reality check that quality is the deciding factor when it comes to differentiating yourself from others in the industry.  In 2005, I started a tourism business with my husband Neill – TIME Unlimited  www.newzealandtours.travel - which provides domestic and international clients with ‘for the time of your life’ experiences with tours around Auckland which showcase the best NZ has to offer all delivered with the best of kiwi hospitality!

My other governance work includes Chairperson for Te Hotu Manawa Maori (Maori Heart Foundation) and a Director for The Quit Group (national smoking cessation provider).  I also continue to consult to a number of external clients in the education, health, professional/business services, engineering, energy, transport, creative and tourism sectors. I am also an Authorised Consultant for the NZBEF and in recent years have been involved in a number of National Award programmes.
